Update - it’s done! Video at bottom, and a better picture of the H-pipe.
Proud of my hackemup weldembacktogether tailpipes!
Also had to modify the shifter linkage to clear the new headers with an extra bend
And this is the H-pipe in place.
Tomorrow the mufflers get welded to the H and then it will be ready to run!
Updated with finished and running video!

as long as they do the job required.

They will do the job! It’s impossible to buy parts made for my car, I bought tailpipes for a similar car and cut them up to make these.

Sounds awesome! Do they sell out-of-the-box long-tubes for these?

Sounds fantastic, I love it. Nice!

I love how it has just a little bit of lope to it.

Yeah, we were really worried that it would be too loud, but this seems just right! It used to be too loud. The tinny sound seems like it was added by the camera - I don’t notice it in person.

Nobody sells nothin for this car. Well the headers are from TA Performance, I didn’t do anything to those. Everything else was custom fit. I bought tailpipes for a G-body (80's regal type), and cut them up to make them fit here. They were about as close as I could find, but these were all the right size and mandrel bent so I wanted to try. The front H-pipe part I made from a kit of 6 “S-pipes” flowmaster sells, and with some of the leftover bends I was able to get the tailpipes just how I wanted them to fit.

I’m a sucker for a little bit of a loping idle. The exhaust just makes it a thousand times better.

Thanks! It’s actually a pretty aggressive cam, the fuel injection smooths out the idle a bit but you can’t hide all the lope. Which is just fine w me. I’m still all excited about the finished product.

I see that's it's fuel injected, did you put that on? What kind of a set-up is it?

It’s a Speed Pro (before they were called FAST) fuel injection system from ~2000 or so. My brother and I built it (he’s the brains behind the madness) - the intake was sent out and customized for this setup:

It looks super cool! How fast did this thing go in the 1/4 again? I forget.

My best was a 13.9@99 mph, tried all day to break 100. With this exhaust we should be able to, the old one had shitty mufflers and some awful crimps in some of the bends. This is a clean 2-1/2" all the way back with no hard angles or crimps. (jump to 22 seconds in video)

Yeah, I searched for your post about it. I have a 400 Pontiac that I want to make fuel injected. I am looking at Megasquirt. What did you use for a throttle body?

We bought the system from and sent the intake manifold to Force Fuel Injection http://www.force-efi.com/ - they did the injector plumbing and we used their 1000 CFM throttle body. It’s setup for bank firing, works quite well. We considered Megasquirt. Back then it wasn’t quite flexible enough, but it has changed a lot. FAST XFI is a very flexible powerful system, based off what we have but with 18 years of improvements. Highly recommend.
